Louise married Albert J. Vincik in Columbus and had three children, Allan, David and Lana. She worked for Hastings Answering Service for 62 years, retiring just this year. She was recognized by Senator Lloyd Doggett for her faithful service. In addition, she worked several jobs to raise her children, sewing, ironing and addressing envelopes, all while making sure her kids needs were met. All the children helped by working small jobs to help the family get by.
Louise later met and married Lawrence Stefan and had many wonderful years before he passed in 2006. After she remarried Larry, they enjoyed taking weekend getaways, dancing and listening to Patsy Cline. Louise also loved shopping for clothing and shoes, often walking the entire outlet mall. The children have many wonderful memories of her helping them on their paper route, taking them to the pool while she addressed envelopes and making homemade ice cream. Will loved doves and raised white doves.
Louise loved her yard and plants. When the children were younger, she would always name the trees and plants while on road trips. She was a very accomplished seamstress and could make any type of clothing, including professional suits, without a sewing pattern. She made most of the family’s clothes when they were growing up.
She is survived by her sons; Alan J. Vincik, David Vincik, daughter, Lana D. Vincik, grandchildren, Stacy L. Henson, Natalie M. Boswell, Megan N. Baran, great grandchildren, Braelyn Henson, Presly Henson, Brazos Boswell, and Kingston Baran.
In addition to her parents, Willis is preceded in death by her second husband, Lawrence Stefan, grandson Shawn A. Vincik, two sisters and 4 brothers.
Her visitation will be Friday, December 6th from 5PM to 7PM at the Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78752 and where her funeral service will be on Saturday, December 7th at 11AM. Her committal service will follow at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.
