Yolanda was born on October 28,1951 to parents Robert and Mary Guzman. She came from a big family, she was 1 of 12 children all of who were raised in Houston, Texas.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her spouse, Virgil Garcia and her grandson, David Solis.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories; daughter, Michelle Renee Kosho; son-in-law, George Kosho; daughter, Mary Quintina Solis; son-in-law, Marcus Grayson; her children of the heart; daughter, Josie De La Torre and son Hector Aleman; grandchildren, George Anthony, Jonathan Micheal Molina, Yolanda and Dillon Solis, Micheal, Matthew, and Anna Lira; a host of great-grandchildren; Mariah, Isaiah, Aiden, and Noah Molina; father, George Molina David and Daisy Solis; father, David Solis Nicolas, Arianna, Irina, Lluvia, and Sienna; mother, Yolanda Solis; Baby Bubba, father, Dillon Solis; sisters, Angie Martinez, Gloria Guzman, Janie Huerta, and Belinda Guzman, as well as a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends whom she loved dearly.
Everyone who knew this beautiful woman knew she was a joker at heart, she loved to sing, she loved the outdoors, and you could always find her outside planting flowers and tending to her garden, a trait that she left behind to her children Tina and Hector.
And oh, we can all remember what a beautiful head of hair she had, she was truly blessed. She was always ready to help anyone in need, for her, it was more blessed to give than to receive.
Yolanda was a member of Spirit of Life Church, where she found healing and made peace with the Lord she was a soul set free.
The last two weeks of her life she lived to the fullest, doing whatever her heart desired, her sister Gloria Lozano and Friend Annie Medina were so blessed to spend this time with her and share these last beautiful moments.
We all loved Yolanda so very much and she will be greatly missed if only we could have just another laugh, another smile, one more hug, another spoken word, but just as a flower fully blooms in the garden before it is hand-picked, our beloved Yolanda was hand-picked by our Heavenly Father and she has gone home to rest in her eternal domain.
Visitation for Yolanda will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, Texas 78752; followed by funeral service at 2:00 PM.
