On Saturday April 18, 2020, Boghos Paul Aslanian passed away peacefully at home at the age of 90.
Paul was born on September 5, 1929 in Alexandria, Egypt to Marianna and David Aslanian. He married Alice Baltadjian on December 21st, 1952 and raised three children. He immigrated to Canada with his young family in December 1962 and eventually settled in Chateauguay, Quebec.
Paul was a family man and lived his life with high moral standards guided by his Christian beliefs. His biggest passion was his family and friends. He was always ready to help, whether financially, with words of wisdom or just by listening. He always greeted everyone with a warm and genuine smile.
Paul’s dream was to be an engineer. Unfortunately, financial limitations prevented him from living his dream. As a successful tax specialist and later as Manager of the Taxation Department for the Royal Bank, he pursued his love for construction and engineering at home, where he spent many summers designing and building with concrete.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice, his three children, Mary, George and Nora, his grand-children, Gregory and Taline, Marie and Margaret, Chantal, Nathalie, Julie and Stephanie and his eleven great grand-children as well as his nephews, Peter and Robert Aslanian.
Honoring his wishes, he was cremated Thursday, April 23, 2020 in Gatineau, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sourp Hagop Armenian Church, 3401 Olivar Asselin, Montreal, Quebec, H4J 1L5, or any charitable organization of your preference would be appreciated.
