My deepest sympathies to the family,I had the pleasure of coaching Danny Jr in minor hockey in Aylmer. He was a great young man,and his dad was very proud of him.

Both his Mom and Dad were so supportive of him...great to be a part of the Forgie family for me...

I shall remember Dan Sr in my prayers,and never forget his always "Elvis" hair....super guy...was he..

My deepest sympathies to Danny's family. He was a good  person that always had time for others. I know he will be missed by many as he touched the lives of so many people. We will miss him but we will always remember him. RIP

When I was 18yo I was just a rookie ball player in the Deaschênes and Danny took me under his wing and made me feel part of the team.

I still remember him playing broom ball in Deschênes without gloves (barehand) at -25 degrees. He was a tough cookie.

My heartfelt sympathies to the entire family. May your fond memories bring you some joy during this difficult time. Uncle Danny and Aunt Myra were always two of my Mother, Linda Hunt's, very favorite people. I grew up hearing only great things about them and their family. I like to think that they are all now peacefully enjoying one another's company, and some good music. Laurie, Tim and family-so very sorry to hear about uncle Danny’s passing. So many stories from our younger days that come to mind; bbq’s in the back yard, sitting on the front porch playing cards-the house was always welcoming. I remember his stories about his NCC days and how cold it was flooding the canal; he was so hard working and such a kind and gentle man. His love and respect for auntie Myra was so beautiful and evident when you would see them together or dancing-it was a true love story. I’d like to believe that they are now back together and dancing

I apologize for the oversight about calling Uncle Dan as Uncle Don. I will always carry both of them in my heart.

My heart goes out to you all.  I have so many memories of Uncle Danny.  Growing up, he was someone I looked up to, a wonderful man, so strong and steady, so kind and down to earth.  I remember his years at the NCC, preparing the ice for the Rideau Canal all hours of the night.  More recently, he talked to Robert about planting his cherry trees and working on his antique car.  He was always so interesting and wise.  What I remember most was the beautiful way he and Aunt Myra loved each other for so many years.  They are together now and will be in our hearts forever.

I remember being a child and thinking that uncle danny was so handsome and cool.  I remember years later at mom and dad's anniversary party at the british  and uncle danny asked me to dance a slow.... of course I accepted. I guess my childhood crush came back because after the dance I went to aunt myra  and asked if I was blushing she laughed and yes and then added And I know why.  You will be missed but I know you are happy and reunited with Aunt Myra and other family members that have gone on before us. I hope you all party it up!
