Dorothy Denise Godin

Dorothy Denise Godin, a loving wife (Gerald, pre-deceased), mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on March 19, 2023. She was a woman who lived her life with kindness, generosity, and a selflessness that touched everyone she met. Mom (referred as by everyone) unwavering presence and compassionate spirit remained constant throughout her life, as she was always there for anyone in need. She had a heart of gold and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those around her. Her love and care were felt by many, and countless people were impacted by her wonderful nature. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. She had a special bond with each one of her children, cherished her grandchildren, adored her great-grandchildren, and loved her great-great-grandchildren with all her heart. Her family meant everything to her, and she made sure they knew it every single day. Mom will be deeply missed by her loving spouse Michael, her children Lorraine (Jeff), Diane (Mick), Michael (Betty), George (Debbie), Gerry (Leslie), Kathy (Vince), Adele, Mark (Tina), Christopher as well as her brother Keith (Darlene). They will always carry her memory in their hearts, cherishing the moments they shared and the love she gave them. Although she is no longer with us, mom's love will remain forever in our hearts. Her life was a testament to the beauty of love, kindness, and generosity, and we are all better for having known her. Rest in peace, dear Dorothy Denise, and thank you for the endless love and light you brought into our lives. A celebration of life reunion for friends and family will be held on Saturday, April 8 from 11am to 3pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 78 Principale St, Gatineau, Quebec.
