Effie (Scott) Fiander

4 septembre , 19323 juin , 2018

Effie Scott-Fiander September 1932 - June 2018 A beautiful and gracious lady. Elegant, eloquent and full of grace. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years Maxwell Fiander. She leaves her children, Maxwell (Shelley Dobbyn), Scott (Kathy Harker) and Deborah (Daniel Gloor), grandson Matthew (Amanda Fiander) and great-grandson Carson, to grieve. She had many precious friends who also are grieving her loss. She lived her life, until the end, with strength, integrity and honesty. We asked for words from family and friends to describe her: beautiful, witty, charming, sweet, loving, funny. She was sociable and, again, so very loving, until the end she was completely up to date on current events and would often confound those who knew her, with her questions. She came a long way from her origins in a small village with no electricity in Newfoundland, into the modern world where she was totally wired-in, and mastered new technology easily. She leaves a chasm in the lives of those who knew and loved her, and those whom she loved. A celebration of her life will be held on June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 47 Denise-Friend in Gatineau (Aylmer), QC. Donations to the Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie would be greatly appreciated.
