Maurice (Bill) Cooper

Il était le fils de feu Marie Cusson et de feu Narcisse Cooper et l’époux de feu Simone Aubin.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Diane (Gilles), Sylvie (Bruno) et Alain (Laura).

Ses petits-enfants : Éric, Martin, Daniel, Sébastien, Sophie, Benoit, Ashley et Hayley

Ses arrière-petits enfants : Kyle, Zack, Florence, Maxine, Charles, Charlotte, Marcus et Juliette.

Ses frères : Albert (Christine) et Narcisse (Bidou). Il fut prédécédé par son épouse de 60 ans de mariage, son fils Daniel, ses jumeaux à la naissance, son arrière-petite-fille Cayliee, son frère Wilfrid, ses soeurs Marguerite, Alice, Thérèse et Cécile.

Sa belle-soeur Yvonne (feu Marcel) et beau-frère Ross (feu Thérèse).

Ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s.

Un service religieux en présence des cendres sera célébré le jeudi 19 février 2026 à 11 h à l’église St-Paul d’Aylmer situé au  26, chemin Eardley, Gatineau QC J9H 0K2 (secteur Aylmer).

La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église à compter de 10 h 30

En mémoire de Maurice (Bill) Cooper et pour ceux qui le désirent, des dons à La Fondation des maladies du coeur et de l’AVC du Canada ou à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient grandement appréciés.

La famille désire remercier le Dre Lynne Foucault et tout le personnel du 4e étage du CHSLD Lionel-Émond pour les bons soins prodigués.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice (Bill) Cooper on January 29, 2026 at the age of 86.

He was the son of late Marie Cusson and late Narcisse Cooper and the husband of late Simone Aubin.

He is survived by his children : Diane (Gilles), Sylvie (Bruno) and Alain (Laura)

His grandchildren : Éric, Martin, Daniel, Sébastien, Sophie, Benoit, Ashley et Hayley

His great-grandchildren : Kyle, Zack, Florence, Maxine, Charles, Charlotte, Marcus and Juliette.

His brothers Albert (Christine) and Narcisse (Bidou). Predeceased by his wife of 60 years of marriage, his son Daniel, his twin sons at birth, his great-grand daughter Cayliee, his brother Wilfrid, his sisters Marguerite, Alice, Thérèse and Cécile.

His sister-in-law Yvonne (late Marcel) and brother-in-law Ross (late Thérèse).

As well as many nephews, nieces and friends.

A religious service will be celebrated on February 19, 2026 at 11 :00 at the Aylmer St-Paul Church located at  26 Eardley Road, Gatineau QC J9H 0K2 (Aylmer Sector).

The family will receive condolences at the church from 10 :30.

In memory of Maurice (Bill) Cooper and for those wishing to do so, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank Dre Lynne Foucault and the personnel on the 4th floor of the Long-term care nursing home CHSLD Lionel-Émond for all the good care provided.
