Born in Ottawa, Ontario passed away
peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016,
surrounded by her mother and siblings after a
long and courageous battle with cancer. Nikki
was the daughter of the late Marcel Robert
and Shirley (Ayotte) Richer, Nikki is survived
by her only son Gregg O’Connell whom she
loved dearly. Nikki was a loving sister to
Suzanne Seguin, Rachelle Dean, Mike Robert,
and Danielle Robert. She also leaves behind
brother-in-law and dear friend Andy Seguin,
sister-in-law Helen, nephews Joel, Michel-
Andre, Ben, and Jesse, and nieces Marlie and
Alyssa. She will be missed by her great-nieces
and nephews, and numerous friends. A
special thank you to her amazing palliative
care team including Dr. M. Fishman, Holly,
Andrew and Sonya, as well as to her work
family at Cassidy Levy who were incredibly
compassionate and supportive throughout
her ordeal. Family and friends are invited for a
celebration of life at Racine, Robert &
Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home (47
Denise Friend, Gatineau, QC) on Friday,
August 26 at 1 p.m. followed by a reception.
Family will be in attendance from 12 noon to
receive condolences. A private family burial
will take place immediately afterward. For
those wishing, memorial donations may be
made to Breast Cancer Society and/or
Victoria Quilts would be appreciated.
