Pierrette GOSSELIN (née Dallaire)

Elle était la fille de feu Charlotte Daoust et feu Alphonse Dallaire et l'épouse de feu Fernand Gosselin (2es noces).

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles : Michelle Côté, Renée Soublière, Marie Soublière St-Amour, Hélène Soublière (Marcello Cesare); les enfants de Fernand : Sylvie Gosselin (Guy Lavictoire) et Christian Gosselin (France Laplante); 5 petits-enfants : Ryan et Joé Soublière, Catherine et Sophie St-Amour, Alyssa Cesare; 6 arrière-petits-enfants : Alyssia, Kaylie, Aiva, Ellie, Théo et Zack, et d’autres par alliance; ses sœurs : Lucille (feu Armand Beauregard), Suzanne (feu Pierre Biron), Lise (feu Howard Mackay), Gaby (Raymond Dubois) et Andrée (Denny Stimpson); son filleul Philippe Mackay, sa grande amie Pauline Lacroix, plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que beaux-frères et belles-sœurs : Hector Soublière (Raymonde), Denise Chevrier (Robert) et Claudette Gosselin.

Maman fut prédécédée par son fils Roger Soublière (Carole Noël), Johanna Gosselin (fille de Fernand), ses frères Jean-René et Claude Dallaire, ses sœurs Claudette et Jacqueline Dallaire ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs.

Toute sa vie durant, Maman a persévéré à vaincre tellement d'obstacles avec succès. Rassembleuse et toujours désireuse de bien apprécier et jouir de la vie, Maman recevait familles et amis à l'impromptu sans arrêt! Infirmière graduée en 1950 de l'Université d'Ottawa, Maman pratiqua sa vocation avec compassion et dévouement à l’Hôpital Général (rue Bruyère, ensuite chemin Smyth), et avec tous ceux qui avaient besoin de ses conseils et soins. Son humilité, ouverture d'esprit, compassion comme bénévole, aidant les patients atteints du SIDA lui mérita l'honneur de « Ange de l'Année » en 2001. Maman nous a montré persévérance et joie de vivre jusqu'à son dernier souffle.

Nous tenons à remercier du plus profond le personnel du CHSLD Lionel-Émond et le Dr April pour leurs attentions et soins incomparables pour notre mère.

Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 4 novembre à 10 h 30 à l'église Notre-Dame de Lourdes (435, chemin Montréal, Ottawa). La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église à compter de 10 heures. Le port du masque pour tous est désiré afin de protéger nos vulnérables. Merci. L’enterrement suivra au cimetière Notre-Dame (455, chemin Montréal, Ottawa).

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother Pierrette Gosselin (née Dallaire) in Gatineau, on October 20, 2022 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Charlotte Daoust and the late Alphonse Dallaire and the wife of the late Fernand Gosselin (2nd marriage). She is survived by her daughters: Michelle Côté, Renée Soublière, Marie Soublière St-Amour, Hélène Soublière (Marcello Cesare); Fernand's children: Sylvie Gosselin (Guy Lavictoire) and Christian Gosselin (France Laplante); 5 grandchildren: Ryan and Joé Soublière, Catherine and Sophie St-Amour, Alyssa Cesare; 6 great-grandchildren: Alyssia, Kaylie, Aiva, Ellie, Théo and Zack, and others by marriage; her sisters: Lucille (late Armand Beauregard), Suzanne (late Pierre Biron), Lise (late Howard Mackay), Gaby (Raymond Dubois) and Andrée (Denny Stimpson); her godson Philippe Mackay, her great friend Pauline Lacroix, many nephews and nieces, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Hector Soublière (Raymonde), Denise Chevrier (Robert) and Claudette Gosselin. Mom was predeceased by her son Roger Soublière (Carole Noël), Johanna Gosselin (daughter of Fernand), her brothers Jean-René and Claude Dallaire, her sisters Claudette and Jacqueline Dallaire, as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Throughout her life, Mom persevered to overcome so many obstacles with success. Gathering people and always wanting to appreciate and enjoy life, Mom was always entertaining family and friends on a moment's notice! A 1950 graduate nurse from the University of Ottawa, Mom practiced her vocation with compassion and dedication at the General Hospital (Bruyère Street, then Smyth Road), and with all those who needed her advice and care. Her humility, openness, and compassion as a volunteer, helping AIDS patients, earned her the honor of "Angel of the Year" in 2001. Mom showed us perseverance and joy of living until her last breath.

We would like to thank the staff of the CHSLD Lionel Émond and Dr. April for their incomparable attention and care for our mother.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame de Lourdes Church (435 Montreal Road, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Everyone is asked to wear a mask to protect the vulnerable. Thank you. Burial will follow at Notre Dame-Cemetery, (455, Montreal Road, Ottawa).
