

Cremation has taken place and the family invites you to attend a celebration of life on October 22nd at the Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 271 Boulevard St. Joseph, Hull, PQ J8Y 3Y1 from 2 to 4pm.
Bill was born in Simcoe Ontario to Lyla and Rex Caverly on Feb 25th 1938. A true outdoorsmen, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the cottage on Anima Nipissing . He worked for Northern Telephone in New Liskeard for many years, moving to Richmond Hill where he worked for Rolm Canada Inc and eventually IBM Canada Ltd in Ottawa where he retired. For the past 15 years, Dad kept busy volunteering. He was an active member of the Aylmer United Church where he spent countless hours volunteering for organized events as well as helping to maintain the church. He would be found every Sunday in the kitchen making coffee and tea. Dad was also a volunteer for Good Companions of Ottawa, where he assisted with preparation of meals for Meals on wheels and spent many hours driving people to their medical appointments. He took a great deal of pride in his family and grandchildren. He was an excellent cook, fiercely independent and was busy volunteering into the last weeks of this life.
He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen ( Gilles) Clusieau of Timmins, Shawn and Lyne (Dagenais) of Corbeil, Barry and Janinna (Benitez) Toronto, Lisa (Alberto) Sanchez of Greely. Grandchildren, Sarah (Nick) Gordon, Amanda (Kam) Atkins, Kyle (Blanaid) McNally, Erin (Deryck) Badz, Emma, Isabel and Andres. Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sydney, Roman, Hailey and Grayson . He is preceded in death by his son Brian, his parents Lyla and Rex, his sister Jean and husband George Stevens , Gilles (Mary Ellen) Clusieau .
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Good Companions Senior Center.
