

Angela Sessa, age 96 passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. She is survived by her beloved husband Sal. She was a loving mother to; Tom, Mary Jean(Michael), Anthony( Donna), an adoring grammie to 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and a wonderful friend to all. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter, and her son, Walter Jr., who tragically died in the events of 9/11.
A truly remarkable woman, Angela was known for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and tireless dedication to her community. She worked for the West Babylon School District, first as a lunch lady and later as a clerical worker at South Bay School, where she touched the lives of many students and staff. Her generosity and caring nature extended far beyond the classroom.
Angela’s love of life was evident in her many hobbies and passions. She was an avid card player, enjoyed the challenge of mahjong, and cherished her time spent playing bocce ball. But perhaps her most enduring legacy was her profound commitment to her church and her community. Angela was instrumental in the creation of bereavement groups at her church Our lady of Grace, offering support to grieving families. As a Eucharistic Minister, she visited the sick, bringing communion and comfort to those in need.
Her involvement in the Catholic Daughters and the Good Samaritan Guild demonstrated her lifelong dedication to helping others, particularly through fundraising efforts for those in need. Angela’s compassion and generosity were felt by everyone she encountered, and she was truly one in a million.
Angela’s family and friends will remember her as a woman of deep faith, warmth, and joy. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Angela will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. An entombment will occur Monday, March 24, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
