My Aunt Angie. I will never forget when I was a kid she was the beautiful Aunt with the cute pony tail. Great memories of Aunt Angie and Uncle Bobby at their house in Brooklyn with all of my cousins. Absolutely precious. I am so lucky to have these great memories. God bless her forever.

Angelina was a vibrant, loving and caring women. Getting to know my grandmother was a blessing in my life. She taught me a lot and I have learned a lot from her. I have gotten ALL my strength from her and she had a lot of love inside her and around her. 

I loved her with all my heart and she was everything to me. We were very close and I got to see and hear the best story’s from her from the good and the bad in her life. 

Thank you to everyone who knew her and had a part in her life and made her smile and feel loved. 

I love you with all my heart gram. I know your flying high and you are happy with all your loved ones up there. Love you more more more MOREEE. You still got it!! 

Angie, I will never forget the fun times we had over the years. It was an honor to be part of your beautiful family in good times and bad. I miss your voice calling Aunt Linda and our Wednesday lunches. Until we meet again.

Over the past few years, Grams would take pride in telling us all about her beautiful life in Brooklyn.  After awhile, I started to write down some of her special words.

She put me in angel guardian home 
And I was adopted and had a great life 
I always felt loved 
God knows where I'd be if she didn't put me there 

I used to work for AT&T as a long distance operator. Those were the good old days 

I love you Deano

You know I want to go back to Brooklyn, that was the best time Give me back Brooklyn!
 
I used to take the kids to Prospect Park Zoo 
I used to take my kids to see the animals

I was always lucky I was adopted by good parents.
When I was young I always wondered “Is my mother out there looking for me?” She did the best thing when she put me in angel guardian home.

I love you Deano, I always loved you, you always been a great guy 

Are we near forth of July yet? 

Me and all the telephone operators would get time off and go to 42nd street to see all the shows 

When are you getting married Deano? I want to be able to dance at your wedding 

I love you Deano, you were always the best to me. And I mean that with my whole heart 

I used to watch my Dodgers at Ebbets field,  we used to hate the Yankees 

Back when I was a telephone operator we used to have Christmas party’s 

At least when my husband died he died in my arms waiting for rescue. He didn’t die alone. But life goes on.

Mrs. Licari you are now a beautiful angel watching over all us.  You always made me feel welcomed in your home. You teaching Maria & I how to make your special sauce.

The memories I have of Grams are endless. All Grams ever wanted was to take care of everyone and she gave her love with every ounce of her heart. Some of my fondest memories are from when she lived downstairs and every morning before school I would wake up and go to her room for “Angie’s Diner” where she would write out a menu including juices, pancakes, eggs, or my favorite, ice cream waffles. My favorite place to go before bed was her room to play computer games (she loved her pogo) and stay up a little past my bedtime  on a school night (sorry mom). We all know how strong grams was throughout her entire life and she never gave up on caring for her family despite any hardships she faced. After her stroke, grams still kept her wits when she would tell me “you’re beautiful and you know why? you get your looks from me” all the time. I was always happy to hear that I look like Grams when she was younger because she truly was beautiful, both inside and out. Grams was truly one of a kind and a focal part of our entire family. I know she is already jamming out to Tom Jones up there with the rest of our loved ones.  

I am so blessed to have so many amazing memories with my Grandmother.  One in particular stays with me. When I was younger and I would come home from school , my Grandma would always make a sandwich; these were usually ham and cheese or turkey. I would say "Grandma, how are your sandwiches so much better than everyone else? "You use the same ingredients, it is just cold cuts.. She would respond, "Alicia, that is because I make it with love". And with  LOVE she did..... everything. The wonderful lessons she taught me will stay with me forever and I will continue to live my life with grace and love, in honor of her. 
My heart is so heavy with sadness but I know my Grandma would not want that, so I will continue to think of her smile to lighten the heaviness. I love you Grandma , you will forever be my ANGEL-Lina, until we meet again and I get to dance with you. 

Going to miss the best mother in law i could have asked for... notwithstanding my biggest cheer leader. Love you Angie.. no i mean i love you more. xoxoxoxo 

We were at the pool at aunt rosemary‘s and Uncle Ron‘s house and I was learning how to dive. My grandma would stay out there with me for as long as I wanted. Even if my dive looked terrible, as I would come up from underneath the water my grandma would be clapping and cheering, making me feel like I just won a gold medal for diving at the Olympics. After the pool
We would go and have mint chocolate chip ice cream and watch the mentalist. Grams always looked after other people and tried to make them feel the best they could.
