Ceferino Espinal

Ceferino Amable Espinal, 78, of Wyandanch, passed peacefully into Eternal Life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, his 78th birthday. Born abroad in the Dominican Republic to the late Jose S. Espinal and Agueda Urena on November 1, 1947, Ceferino came to the United States at the age of 14, where he built a beautiful life and career. For over 50 years, Ceferino worked in sales, forming lasting friendships through his integrity, humor, and dedication. A true man of community and faith, he was deeply involved in his church and cherished the people around him. Beloved husband of Alba (Cuevas) Espinal, devoted father of Aggie Patricia Espinal-Barranco, Jose Amable Espinal, Stephanie Guzman, and Leonel Espinal. Adored grandfather of Christian Amable Guzman, Eloise Grace Barranco, Mila Olivia Rodriguez, and Peyton Jax Rodriguez. Cherished brother of Pablo Espinal, Sixto Espinal, Maria Espinal, Esteban Espinal, Andres Espinal, Carlos Espinal, Rafael Espinal, Maricarmen Espinal, and Juan Espinal. He was predeceased by his siblings, Carmen Espinal, Julio Espinal, and Bienvenido Espinal.

Ceferino was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew him. He had a passion for cooking, jazz, and gardening, and his enthusiasm for life was contagious. He loved America, followed politics with great interest, and faced his 14-year illness with remarkable courage and grace, always surrounded by the love of his family.
