I joined BMO a little over two years ago. There was no better mentor to guide me through the process than Nick Blea. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, he was also kind. And he was incredibly patient because I had endless questions. Even though we never met in person, there's no doubt what an amazing human being he was. I will miss our daily chats. To his family and friends, I am incredibly sorry for your loss.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Nick’s passing — and still am. I’ve known him for several years and had the privilege of working more closely with him over the past couple of years. We bonded during the bank’s most recent acquisition and often served as sounding boards for each other throughout that experience. Nick was a fantastic business partner and an even better human being. He is truly missed by his colleagues here at BMO.

To Nick’s family and friends, I’m wishing you strength, comfort, and peace as you navigate this loss. Holding you in my thoughts.

Nick wasn’t just someone I worked with — he was my compadre.  I met him when he first joined BMO, and right away it was clear what kind of person he was: dependable, driven, and always ready to take on whatever came his way. He had a spirit that stood out, the kind you don’t forget.

I’ll always remember his kindness, his energy, and the pride he carried in everything he did.

What a shock to hear of Nick‘s passing, Even though he moved away quite a while ago I thought of him often. My condolences to his friends and family on this loss. His infectious smile, his warm laugh, his caring attitude made him someone it was a joy to work with and remember.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.  I am very saddened to learn of Nick’s passing.  Nick was a wonderful person to work with.  Nick was very kind, funny, knowledgeable and will be missed immensely.  May he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Nick’s passing.

I met Nick in 2014 when I started working at BMO.  After just a few months in my role, he took the time to train me for the next position—one he already knew would be a perfect fit.  I later had the pleasure of working under him when he became a manager, and he was an absolute joy to work with: focused, driven, and genuinely caring.

The photo that was shared is a perfect reflection of who he was, especially that infectious smile. Even after his move to New York, it remained a pleasure to work with him. He will be deeply missed by so many.

I was deeply saddened to learn that Nick had passed away. 

I met Nick in 2008 when he started at Charter One Bank. My job there was eliminated in early 2010. He helped me get my next job at BMO Harris Bank in 2013. He was a joy to work with and was a wonderful colleague. He was always ready to help anyone. 

I have many memories of him, all wonderful. Those are sustaining me these days.

I was sorry to hear of Nick’s passing.  I wanted to share that I knew Nick professionally and that he was all you could ask for in a mentor.

Nick imparted wisdom on to me, and I still think about some particular wisdom he shared to this day.  Courteous, Professional, Humorous, Caring, Engaged, just a wonderful person to have shared time with and I’m thankful for that time.  A very smart and intelligent mentor you could learn from easily.

My deepest condolences and very sorry to hear such a sad news.  He was such a joy  to work along his side as he was always positive , smiling, very warm nature, helpful. He had an immense knowledge that he never hesitated to share or help out,  It was an honor to work together on projects and as a team. He will be missed dearly. Rest in peace Dominic!

Very sorry for your loss!  Nick was an around great guy.  I have worked with Nick for many years in various capacities.  He was always very passionate about his work and very willing to share his kindness and experience with all those he worked with.  He will very much be missed by me and by many of our coworkers. I meet him a few years ago on a cruise with his friends. He was a great guy full of life and always with a smile . Everything I seen him I was always greeted with smile and hug. My he rest in peace.

Hearing of Dominic's passing is so sad and shocking. I met him in junior high school and he was a huge part of my life from then through high school. There are so many memories of those good and fun times with Dominic that I will carry with me always. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. Dominic always had a smile. He always greeted me with a big hug, a kiss, and his sweet “hi gorgeous.” Those small moments will always stay with me. My heart is especially heavy for his friends who loved him so deeply and will miss him every day. His smile and spirit will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. ❤️

Hearing about Dominic’s passing was heartbreaking. I believe he was the same age as Lucy. My heartfelt prayers and love go out to the entire family during this difficult time.
