Ernest Busch “Papa”, passed away peacefully on August 19. He was the beloved eldest of seven siblings, brothers-John, Carl, and Danny, sisters-Mae, Jean and Patricia.
He was a devoted husband to Veronica until her passing and loving father to four children: Veronica Reilly (Pat), the late Ernest “Buddy” Busch (Gail), Karen Parks, and Keith Busch (Heather).
A proud patriarch, he was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ernest was a cherished grandfather of 13 and proud great-grandfather of 17; whose lives he touched with his wisdom, generosity, and humor. Known for his sharp intellect, quick wit and love for upstate NY, he navigated life with intelligence and integrity. He will forever be remembered for the love, laughter and guidance he shared with family and friends. His legacy lives on in the generations he nurtured and in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
Friends may visit at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon Village Thursday Aug. 28th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday Aug 29th, 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday Aug. 30th, 10:30 am, at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 39 North Carll Ave., Babylon, NY. Ernie will be laid to rest in the family plot at North Babylon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Babylon Booster Club, PO Box 554, Babylon, NY 11702, for the Ernie Busch Memorial scholarship fund.
