July 17, 1950 – February 20, 2026
Eugene G. Miller, 75, of Deer Park, New York, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend , passed away on February 20, 2026. Born on July 17, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, Eugene lived a life defined by strength, loyalty, hard work, and a deep love for his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lucille Miller of 46 years.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Miller; his daughter, Danielle Miller (Rob Rivera); and his beloved grandson, Robbie Rivera, who brought him immense pride and joy in the last years of his life. He is also survived by his sisters, Jayne Olsen, Jill Cheikhali, June Reisner, and Janet Egan, as well as his faithful companion, Molly Smalls.
Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, in Pleiku from 1970 to 1971. His military service gave him the foundation to build his life on dedication and integrity. He believed in showing up, standing tall, and doing things correctly — values he carried into every aspect of his life.
He became a respected leader in the NYC financial printing industry, where he helped many people build solid, lasting careers in the fast-paced, detail-driven world of shareholder communications and corporate compliance. He took pride in hiring the best of the best and creating strong customer service teams that would beat impossible deadlines and achieve the toughest goals set by clients — all with the motivation of “a few hours of OT and a car home” and sometimes a few drinks after the shift. GFM always knew what the team needed.
The ups and downs of life briefly led him to leave the industry to pursue a dream of being his own boss, owning an ice cream shop in a Florida mall — bravely taking a chance, giving himself a change of pace and allowing his family to enjoy the Florida sun and fun while strengthening the bond with them.
His love of music, comedy brought the best atmosphere whether it was just a road trip or a party to celebrate his friends and family.
Eugene’s military service will be honored with Military Honors at North Babylon Cemetery.
Those who knew Eugene will remember his strength, his honesty, and his unwavering presence. He was brave in life and courageous in his final chapter. His love for his family was constant and steady — a foundation that will remain long after his passing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Tunnels 2 Towers, in his name would be appreciated. www.T2T.org
