Montalvo, Hector of Carbondale PA, Formerly of Babylon, NY passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores Montalvo (née Dorsch). Devoted father of Edward Montalvo and his wife Janine, Emanuel Montalvo, John Montalvo and Christine Lucas and her husband Paul. Cherished grandfather of Brittany, Edward, Thomas, Tyler, Mikayla, Bryanne, Olivia and Avery. Adoring great grandfather of Riley and Jackson. Dear brother of Margaret, Aurora, Wilfredo, Edward, Frank, Samuel and the late Ralph, David and Felix Montalvo.
Born January 8, 1945 in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Angelo and Isabelle Gary-Garcia Montalvo. A United States Army Veteran, Hector served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a general foreman and supervisor for various companies in construction. He owned and operated Barrier Free Construction Company in Central Islip, NY for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, driving his Dodge Charger, spending time with his friends at the Veteran Hospital, trips to the casino and most of all his love and devotion to his family.
