James N. Salles

James N. Salles, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 22. James was born on November 21, 2002, in Huntington, New York, to Frank Salles and Maryanne Cancellire.

James was a full-time student at Utica University, where he also played on the university's football team. His passion for sports was evident, and he enjoyed not only playing but staying active through working out at the gym. James also cherished the time spent with his friends, always bringing his infectious energy and warmth wherever he went.

Throughout his life, James demonstrated a strong sense of community, working at several local organizations. He served as a counselor at the West Babylon Youth Center and West Babylon Middle School's day camp, and spent time working at Suffolk County Parks. His dedication to helping others and making a difference in his community was something he held dear.

James is survived by his loving parents, Frank Salles and Maryanne Cancellire, and his dear brother, Frankie Salles. He will be missed by his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

James' vibrant spirit and kind heart will remain with us always. May he rest in peace.

A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 666 Albin Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704. A burial will occur Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
