Joseph L. Vetri

Joseph Louis Vetri of North Babylon on July 6, 2017, Aged 92 years. Devoted husband of 15 years of Johanna. Adored father of Barbara & Tommy Gilbert, Bruce Vetri, Paul Vetri, and Dara & David Campbell. Loving step Father of Barbara and Dennis O'keefe, Ronald Kohler Jr., Cherished grandfather of Julie Ann Macatee, Doreen Oliver, Nicholas Vetri, Robert Vetri, Angela Vetri, Jessica Vetri, Joseph Vetri, Kevin Campbell, Cora Campbell, Kevin O’Keefe, and Jason O’Keefe and great-grandfather of Carly Oliver and Jenna and Jack Mactee. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Vincent Vetri. Joseph was a true patriot who proudly served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943-1945. During his lifetime, he worked in construction, shoe sales, photo finishing, store owner, and web design. In his spare time, Joseph was a photographer, videographer, web designer, and computer repairer. Joseph will mostly be remembered as a zealous Italian who loved his family and friends passionately, as well as the food, wine, and culture of Italy, having travelled to Europe on more than twenty-five occasions. Friends may visit at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main St., Babylon, NY on Monday 2-4:30pm and 7-9:30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace RC Church. Interment to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery.
