With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Julius A. Fiorini on May 19, 2025, at the age of 101. A man of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family, Julius passed peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Born in Yonkers, New York, on September 13, 1923, to Julius Fiorini and Millie Pisco, Julius embodied the values of his generation: hard work, humility, and devotion to both family and country. He served with honor in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1945, a proud chapter of his life that he carried with him always.
After the war, Julius returned home and built a life grounded in service—first as a butcher, then as a landscaper—professions that reflected his capable hands and generous heart. He was a proud member of both the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, continuing a life of service and fellowship long after his military days were over.
Julius was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte Fiorini, with whom he shared 35 years of love, laughter, and partnership. Together, they raised four children who were the center of his world: Julia McDermott, Thomas Fiorini, John Fiorini, and Aveana Deerheart.
He was the proud grandfather of Tammy, T.J., Tom, Kate, JJ, Charlotte, Maggie, Jessica, John, and Joe, and the doting great-grandfather of Madison, Kolsen, T.J., Rosen, Vianna, Jaide, and Rett. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed a chance to share stories, offer advice, or simply be present with those he loved.
Julius is also survived by his dear sister Virginia, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and unbreakable sibling bonds.
In the decades following Charlotte’s passing, Julius found love and companionship again with Dolores Arato, his devoted partner of over 20 years. Their relationship was a testament to the enduring power of love, even in life’s later seasons.
Those who knew Julius will remember his warm smile, his deep sense of duty, and his unmatched work ethic. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome—whether through a firm handshake, a well-told story, or a plate of food shared at his table. He lived simply, loved deeply, and left the world far better than he found it.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Gerald Ryan Outreach, an organization close to Julius’s heart.
He was the kind of man who never asked for much, gave everything he had, and loved with quiet devotion. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
