Kathryn Margaret Turnbull

Kathryn Margaret Turnbull, more commonly known as Grammy T, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday December 19. She was born and raised in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx, NY where she met and married Francis Edward Turnbull. Kathryn was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Babylon, NY where she selflessly worked for 25 years serving the needy through the Outreach Ministry. She also worked for many years at the New York Telephone Company. Kathryn was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she doted on, attending as many of their school and sporting events as possible.

She leaves behind a brother Thomas (Jo) Moore and her children, Francis Turnbull, Matthew (Marcy) Turnbull, Kathryn (Duane) Albro, and Suzanne (Richard) Janis and 8 grandchildren, Kiersten Turnbull, Emily (Emily) Ruth Janis, Courtney (Ryan) Holgan, Kathryn (Brendan) Warner, Amanda (Steven) Williams, Elizabeth Janis, Francis Turnbull and Meredith Janis as well as 6 great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Daphne and Steven Williams, Kathryn Warner, Hazel Holgan and Cooper Ruth Janis. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Kathryn Moore and her husband, Francis Edward Turnbull.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:15am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 39 North Carll Aveneue, Babylon, NY 11702.
