My memories of my Aunt Lillian are plentiful.  As a little girl, I remember scrabble with my mom, sharing Sunday dinners, either at her house or ours, baking during the holidays and having a blast until midnight, have tuna fish with matzo, and our wonderful holidays we always spent with our extended families.  No crowd was too large. (Even the earrings that did not match)  Most of all, she will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh.  She will truly be missed.

I got grandma ice cream from the Mrs Frosty who came and she was in her glory. 

My mother & I took RJ and intercepted the ambulette at the dialysis center during the COVID-19 pandemic. Grandma was so excited to see us for the very short duration before being wheeled inside for dialysis! She was even more excited for the chocolate covered pretzel haha. 

One of the best memories I have of us as adults is when Lillian, Marie and I went on a pilgrimage  to Medjugorje in October of 2007.   Lillian was so excited when the color of her rosary beads changed.  Having this time alone with my 2 sisters is something I will always treasure.

Lillian was always the queen, while the rest of the brother and sisters  were washing windows in our house, she would sit and read the newspaper so she would look busy! Another time while our parents were away, Lillian and Marie decided to paint the kithen table and chairs.  The paint never dried and our Aunt Madeline came and sat in the wet paint on the chair. She got stuck. These are the things that made growing up with Lillian so special.

We met Lillian 14 years ago when we moved across the street from her. She was very welcoming and we fast became friends. We were both working and busy but had our chats which usually also included her friend Marge who pre-deceased her. Lil was kind, caring and a sweet woman concerned for others especially through her nursing. She introduced us to neighbors and gave us the “ history “ of the area.  I learned quickly of her love for her family and how important they were to her especially as the family grew to include greatgrands! I must say she kept a cheery, upbeat attitude even when her illnesses started to affect her life more.  Lil will be missed by us and all who were lucky enough to call her friend. Our condolences  to all the family and those who loved her. We believe she is now at peace and in God’s care as she wanted, pain free and healthy till we meet again. 

Grandma, 
You were an incredible grandmother. Words can’t express how much I’ll miss you. I adore you. You are me and I am you. I’ll see you again in heaven but as I wait, I’ll see you in my dreams. Rest In Peace. xo

Lillian, You have left such an impact on my life that I will be eternally grateful for...I have so many memories of us laughing, crying and chatting for hours at work and I will always cherish  your wisdom and endless advice .

I know you have made it to your eternal resting place and are at peace. Please continue to watch over you family and friends as you always have and we will see you soon..
