I will never forget how much I enjoyed  it when you came to the restaurant.  You were the cutest little boy with the curly hair.   Absolutely adorable.   Sorry you were taken away so young.  May your family  find peace in knowing how many people loved you.   Rest in Peace.

Reflecting on meeting Louis one evening at Angelinas and his bright smile was infectious. Hard to believe it is four years since his passing. He would have been 30 this year and it is sad that such a beautiful person is missed . Wishing the family peace in their hearts and fond memories to cherish always .

I am adding a funny memory on his third anniversary in heaven. We were at a family party in Louis’s backyard. Hailey and Lou were bickering, I think because he put frosting on her face. We were about to leave the party, as it was just about over, when one of them dropped a cherished old Cornell bowl that I used often. Of course, I was angry - shards of glass everywhere!!! They both got in trouble that night. Now, we look back at that time and laugh. You see, it has become our family tradition to put someone’s face in a cake we are serving at a gathering. Hailey always hated this tradition, but I think now it warns her heart to remember those times!!!
We love and miss you, Louie, like crazy. 

When I moved from St. Patrick’s to bay shore middle school is when Louie and I became best buds. You see I knew him from youth lacrosse but all I knew was the legend of Louie. Even in grade school everyone knew Louie because he was such a friendly, happy and loving person, who was friends with literally everyone!

In starting at BSMS, Louie would proceed to teach me one of life’s most valuable lessons: how to make friends. It’s not easy for everyone, but it certainly was for Louie. He had a few simple ways of doing it: always be smiling, just be yourself, and treat everyone equally. It always amazed me to walk down the halls with Louie,  it was like walking down the street with the mayor, he would be dapping up everyone— teachers, lunch workers, special ed kids, skaters, pretty girls (of course)— they all knew him and he made them all smile. He had the gift of being able to simply make everyone he was with happy, which is really special.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Morello family everyday, specifically Mr. Morello, Camille, Richie and Emily. 

Louie was 6 years old when I first met him. I am the youngest sibling in my family, so I didn’t know what it was like to have a younger sibling. Well...Louie made me realize real fast what it was like - the biggest pain in the butt ever! He loved messing with me too. I was so scared of the family dog Cheyenne, so he knew my weakness. I can still picture that devilish smile when he would act like he was going to let her out of her cage just to scare me lol.  As we grew up and I didn’t see him as much, I was so proud to see the man he was becoming when I did see him. He could light up any room and was such a one of a kind from his fresh clothes to his crazy hair. Once you met him, it was impossible not to love him.  My everlasting memory will be when he walked into my wedding and greeted me. He gave me one his infamous hugs, told me how happy and proud he was for me and that he loved me. The Zanghi family will always love you and your memory will live on forever with us. Shine bright up there like you did best here. I love you Louie - I will never forget you little brother.

I haven't known Louie for very long but he was my favorite.  I am new the Morello family and I am blessed and honored to be a part of it.  I always looked forward to seeing Louie so much so I could see his beautiful  smile and get a big hug.  When he hugged you, you felt loved.  I wanted to soak up his beauty, warmth and energy.  I connected with his spirit immediately.  He had a way of making you forget about everything and just smile and laugh.  I will carry his warmth and beauty with me forever and I thank him for that.  Thank you Louie for sharing that with me.  Camille, I fell in love with you the first time I met you and you know I will always be here for you.  You are always in my heart and prayers every minute of every day and I can't imagine what you are going through.  We will all keep him alive and close to our hearts by sharing our memories of him with each other and smiling and laughing.  That's what he would want.  We are blessed with an incredible family unit that most people can only wish they had.  I have never seen so much love and respect for and individual and family as Louie and the Morello family have.  That was evident at the wake.  I watched over 1700 people mourning with you.  Louie must have been impressed!  Thank you Louie for sharing yourself with me for the short time I had you.  Rest in peace and I won't say goodbye but see you later.

My Nephew Louie... From the beginning I watched you grow, I became so fond of you and there was a very particular reason. And those reasons became apparent as you grew.  You were as quirky and as gregarious as me but with a very particular twist. As I watched you grow we were so much alike. We didn't care what people thought about how crazy we were, we moved by seat of our pants but one thing we have in common is we always made people laugh and we did it naturally. You know why Louie, because you were so special. You literally broke the mold. When you can make your uncle Richie look like a choir boy, well that's a huge accomplishment. I don't have one particular thing to say because everything you did "you shined " way above and beyond. For me it was like watching me and all my quirkiness all over times 10 thousand. You paved you own path and created so much more than I could've ever imagined. And I can't begin to tell you how happy and proud I was for you because you did it with ease and such class. As I sat back quietly and said to myself "That's My Nephew  Damn he's good,"  But one of the greatest moments in my life was watching you interact with Mia and Ethan. One thing I will say with certainty is that they looked up to you so much. Everything you did moved them and their hearts grew with so much love for you and those memories will never die.  Louie, you were undeniably one of most incredible individuals God created and  left such an amazing impression on us all. You will never be forgotten and are sorely missed. I will see you again my friend my nephew my love. 

I haven't know Louie for very long because I am a new member of the Morello family but I can tell you that he was my favorite!  I couldn't wait to get a big hug and kiss from his beautiful smiling face.  His spirit always lifted me and I am honored to have known him.   He is such a beautiful soul.  Maybe he was just too beautiful for this earth.   I will miss him forever.

Louie - what can anyone say except that you were simply the best. You lit up every room you walked into, & made everyone feel special. A lot of my memories involve you & your mother driving Richie crazy.  That’s why I love you both so much bc It was a hobby of mine as well. Every time I came over to see Camille I’d find you slow dancing with Gucci or Kismet and being a total clown. Instantly put me in a good mood just to see your handsome face.  One New Years Eve when you were finally old enough to come out with us. I had at least 5 girls ask me who you were. Everyone thought you were so cute. I told them to back off bc none of them were good enough for you. Two seconds later I find you flirting with a woman at least double your age, she had a huge smile on her face. You had such a way to make any gal feel flattered. I don’t know how you did it. So suave! I am lucky that our paths crossed. God must have big plans for you up there. Your smile and kind heart will never be forgotten. I love you little Louie❤️

If you knew Louie, you've laughed till your stomach hurt. He had an aura that ive never seen in a person before, the room would light up when he walked in. I spent countless hours wrestling with him, he loved the sport so much. When we were younger I almost quit wrestling    a few times, I had been cutting alot of weight and just not performing well. He told me if I made it past this hard time I would be grateful in the end. I was mostly grateful for him, he helped me whenever I needed it and would be the first person to critic me when I did good.   Louie was one of the only people on earth who's opinion I actually cared about. Louie was so passionate and filled with love that it forced people around him to want to be better, atleast for me it did. His smile was contagious and could make even the darkest days seem not so bad after all. Ill never forget the times we shared, I am a better person because of my time with lou. I love you  brother.

Lou, I have yet to write on here because my memories with you are endless. From riding bikes to school together in 5th grade to walking home from high school parties to dating you in 2012. I will never forget Valentine’s Day when you asked me out in front of everyone at Angelina’s.. I turned bright red..you laughed at me told me it’s just my family and gave me a kiss. Yes we may have been on and off for the last 7 years but that was our unique relationship. I’ll never forget the hike you brought me on where we wound up on a high way and hitch hiked back to our car, waking up at 5am to crawl on your roof for the sunrise or you making a U-turn on the high way in Puerto Rico to buy me a rose from a random man in the street. Through the most important years of my life you were always there. I was lucky enough to have you as a best friend and soul mate. You are the kindest person I have ever met. You did everything in your power to make sure I was always smiling. I will continue to watch the sunset and with every one of them I will be thinking of you, you are my sunset. I love you forever and always.

I Don’t have pictures but my  memories of  Louis  were when ever I saw him I would receive the biggest hug and his smile would light up the room.  I wish I had some healing words for the family but it will take time, I  do send as many prayers and hugs and  as much love as they need. I’m here if I can help in any way. Love you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Lou as the sweet little boy who came to Cub Scouts every Wednesday too young to join but wanting to be a part of scouting. He captured the hearts of all of the leaders and scouts alike. He was happy and so cute! I pray for strength for all of you. I know that your lives have been richer for having shared them with Louie, even if it was too short a time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Back on here because I’ve been trying to sort through my multiple memories of us growing up together. There was a lot of teasing that came with our close relationship as cousins. You were always protective over me but still had to knock me down a peg when I was too sassy or confident.  No matter the time or day, If I called you in need of help or just to hang out, you were always there for me. Especially when I got my first speeding ticket and was afraid to go to court alone, you came with me on the drive all the way out to Hampton bays just to make me feel comfortable. That’s the type of person you were.  You also chewed up a bag of combo pretzels and spit them at me on Easter when we were younger (I’ll really never let that go now lol). I will miss your vivacious attitude and spirit. You always made me laugh and reminded me to never be too uptight or serious. Please continue to give myself and the family strength to get through this trying time of grief and loss. I love you so much! 

Louina, it was such a blessing to have you in my life for the past 15 years. There is no question of how loved you made the people around you feel, always. I have so many awesome memories growing up with you whether it was around the house, on vacation or just running into each other. One of my favorites was when we went to Florida and you made me go on some sketchy zipper ride with you, just to get the guy to trap us at the top so you can shake the car causing me to scream and laugh all at the same time. You were truly like a big brother to me. Didn’t matter if we saw each other consistently or not for a few months, nothing ever changed. I never had the chance to meet you, I have known your mom n dad for many years. You must have been one of a kind be cause of your parents are. I do know as a mom your mom loved you but you knew that. Please, send her signs that only she will know so she knows you are always with her.. you’ve in a better place n if u run into my brother Joey tell him to buy you a beer!  RIP!! 

My sweet Lou, you were the light in the darkness. You were lit up a room anywhere we went. You’re love for people, friends and strangers alike was contagious. Anyone that has ever met you, never forgot that smile. I have so many memories with you I can’t just pick one (I would be here all day), growing up together is wrapped in one big ball of love. There were trials, tribulations, heart break. Etc and you were always there to pick up the pieces for someone. We could always count on you to see the good in everyone. I have no words to explain the feeling of this loss but you are missed immensely and loved forever.

Louie had such a magnetic, sweet soul. I remember when I first moved up there in 2014 Louie took me under his wing and let me hang out with him and his friends. He always checked on me and made sure I was adjusting well to New York. I remember one time coming to visit in the summer and he was in such a rush to go somewhere he took a bath in the pool and looked at me like I was the crazy one for never doing that before! He made my stay in New York so much easier. Rest In Peace Louie, you’ll always be a piece of my New York life ❤️

My son PJ and Louis were good friends since kindergarten.. I remember Lou coming over for play dates  and visa versa .. he had an amazing personality .. he would (out of the blue) start singing and serenading me to Frank Sinatra .. Rest In Peace Louis you are loved by so many and will be sorely missed .. peace  ✌️ and love ❤️ always  

I only knew Lou through our shared love of Boxer dogs....Everything that he wrote/said about Kismet, his sweet puppy girl, brought smiles & laughter & tears to my heart, he was SUCH a beautiful soul who loved Kizzy with all his heart. She saved him & I feel lucky to have been so blessed that I got to be a small part of his life, even if it was only through a Facebook group. 
He will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Louie...Lou Lou.....the one and only rat boy. I remember the first day I met you, on Gardiner Drive. I was with hillary and we ran into you on your bike. You were so little and cute. I feel so lucky to have had you as one of my best friends. You’ve brought so much laughter, joy and love into my heart and life. Hanging out with you was always so much fun it never mattered where we were, even if we were just sitting in the kitchen. You have literally made me pee my pants from laughing, which no one else has ever done by the way. I don’t know how else to put it other than I was really blessed to have you in my life... and to have a friend that I had such a bond with that I could feel it to my core.... Bonds like that are hard to come by. I remember when we were teenagers you had the easter egg reebok pumps and I was obsessed with them. I wanted to get a pair of my own, and instead for my birthday you gave me yours...lucky for me we were the same size shoe at the time haha. Just one of the many examples of the loving and giving person you were. Every memory I have of you brings a smile to my face. I love you so much Louie, more than words will ever describe. 

Lou was one of a kind and really was there for you when you needed help. It was an honor growing up with him. When he came over to help me demo some of my house with Richie - we listened to Folly, Hatebreed and it really showed that he was there to help you when you needed it. More recently we rebuilt Camille’s kitchen table and I think back now how much I’ll miss him as a friend and the energy he brought to everything - conversation/party or whatever he did. My family loved Louie and always said to give my sons a kiss for him. Rest easy Louie and I will give my baby boys a kiss for you.

Last March or April a coworker of mine was going to a concert of a band I knew Louie loved, so I texted Lou a picture of the kid and said if you see this kid in the pit, just destroy him and he said “will do”. So the day after the concert the kid comes into work and goes “did you tell your cousin to mess with me in the pit, because he did” he then went on to tell me that they went on and talked and had a good time together. He was the best.

I am so grateful for the friendship we were able to have and all of the great memories I shared with you that I will cherish forever. You always knew how to make me laugh and put a smile on my face. Your acts of kindness were like no other.  I will always remember you as someone who always went out of their way to make others happy which is such a special gift. You truly were one of a kind and I am so lucky to have had such an amazing friend like you in my life. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. I will love and miss you forever.

My memories of Lou are all the same. Every single one. Words would never be enough to describe you,  Or describe the intense and powerful impact your personality had on the ppl it touched. I think everyone could see how much happiness you brought ppl. I was blessed enough to feel that happiness and I was fortunate enough to really get to know you. To compete with you, to laugh with you, to spend moments together that I will never forget. And I just wanna say thank you. You loved so immensely it changed ppls perspective of it. I remember my first night at one of charley’s infamous garage parties. It was my first time meeting alot of the ppl I consider good friends now. I barley knew anyone and it was one of the first highschool parties I had really been to. I had known Lou from school but we weren’t necessarily friends. Didn’t matter, you hugged me and dapped me up like we had been hanging out for years, introduced me to everyone and let them know I was your “boy”.  Everyday after that day you embraced me with the same love and the same energy every time I saw you. Weather i had just seen you hours before or years after coming home from Mexico. Our relationship never changed. You pushed me to always be better wether it was in how I dressed( especially my kick game) or how I approached girls or in a cypher spitting with the boys at the end of a good night. You’re the kind of genuine soul that ppl spend an eternity looking for. So many of us are so blessed to have known you Lou. You weren’t just one in a million, you were a once in a lifetime kind of person. Your light lit up everyone’s world around you, that light will continue to shine in our hearts. I love you everyday for the rest of my life. Promise I’ll always stay fly.

When you were three, I babysat you on a Saturday night while mom and dad went to a wedding.  You and I went to see Pinocchio at the mall.  I remember feeling a little nervous with a three year old for eight hours.  But you made it a piece of cake.  You were so easy!  
More recent, at the hotel for Andy and Sarah’s wedding, you knew I was missing something important.  You immediately, without being asked, ran the halls to find it.  A great example of the caring heart you have.  
When you used to visit upstate, you and Richie used to want to sleep over my apartment.  You both tried your best but lasted about twenty minutes before we had to call dad to come get you!   It was that time period that I bought a  Shih-Tzu and named him “Louie.”  Rest In Peace now and know that you were honored in God’s glory.

Louie was always such a vibrant  young man! He would always have a smile on his face when we saw him and his bubbly personality was contagious! So many things I could say about Louie. Him and Kelsey have been close since they were young and I watched him after school for a while. Louie was always the most loving caring boy. That remained to be true as he got older. Every time I saw him I always got the biggest hugs from him. It’s something I will never forget. He spread his love where ever he went. His bright light will forever shine in all of our hearts. No words to describe how much he will be missed, but when ever we think of him and how he was, there’s no doubt there will be a big smile on all of our faces.

You were a light in everyone’s life. Your energy, smile, hugs, were one of a kind. Growing up with you was a blessing. I recently found a page in my old diary that said “I have no friends - except Louie!!” from that time you took me under your wing 15 years ago. From then on you were always so special to me. You may have driven me and Kels crazy at times, and it may have been borderline impossible to have a serious conversation with you because you’d always turn it into a joke or start making fun of me, but that’s what we all love about you. Your sillinesss and constant need to make everyone around you smile will never be forgotten. I love you always.

I was the teachers aid when Louie and Kelsey was in third grade together. Louie surprised me with a card for my birthday that he made himself. It was so kind and thoughtful of him for a boy his age. I still have it and could never forget what a loving child he was. 

I am so grateful to be one of the many people that had the pleasure of loving Louie and receiving that love back. He set the bar so high after being my first “boyfriend” in elementary school, waiting outside my classroom for me everyday and always giving me meaningful gifts every chance he could...even if it may have been Camille’s jewelry LOL. I am so grateful for our 20+ years of friendship and know that his light will live on forever. He will be forever missed and eternally loved. I would do anything for one more Louie hug ❤️.

Louie........you were my third son........never not kissing and hugging me hello every time you came over.  So much, that I often told Sean and Patrick that you kissed me more than them!!   There's nothing about you that I won't miss........you were one of a kind❤

It goes without saying that nothing can ease the pain or fill the emptiness left behind after such a tragic, senseless loss. But, in the future your gorgeous smile and sense of humor will bring beautiful memories to the crowds of people that came to say goodbye to you and to let Joe, Camille, and Richie know that they are loved.  I thought my father had a massive send off but the outpouring of love and support that we all witnessed over the past few days was like nothing I have ever seen and speaks volumes about your life and how much you are loved.  May you Rest in Peace.

Louie was one of the first people Pat introduced me to the summer we moved here. Louie always made me feel so  welcome and he was always so excited to see us and hang out. I will fondly remember summer bonfires and a summer barbecue with the whole Morello  family as one of the first days I felt at home in Bay Shore. I don’t understand why some of us have to leave so soon, but Louie definitely made a big impact on the world while he was here. He is already missed so much. 

Lou, I love you so much. You’re my best friend in this world and I will forever miss you. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. I’m so grateful for having spent so much time with you. I will forever miss that contagious smile, and oddly enough I will miss you constantly trying to kiss me on the mouth. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Louie know how much he loved Steve Irwin. A few weeks ago we were discussing his legacy and how he was the one bright light in what is sometimes a dark world. But we were wrong, as Lou shared that flame with his idol. His presence always brought about joy to everyone around him. I love you buddy and you will forever hold a place in my heart. 

We will miss Louis immensely. Whenever he came in he was always full of joy and always with a hug and a kiss. Thoughtful and kind he was loved by all at Christina's Epicure.

Today is a sad day.     Why God wanted you I will never understand.   You will be sooooo Missed  Lou Morello!!!!!     You were the apple in so many peoples eyes.    Your smile, your laugh, your golden kind heart was infectious....I will be forever grateful that my son loved you so much and you were so welcoming to him and my daughter and always made them feel like family instead of telling him to go away you little kid.      I will miss that joy and happiness vibe ( or glow ) that you two carried whenever you saw each other.    Bobby jr worshipped you, looked up to you so much that he would have a shirt or shorts from you and would never want to change them because they were your clothes....You were and always will be  such a loved person and you will be soooooo missed. And mainly......i pray you are at peace and even though our hearts are crushed, broken and stomped on,that you watch over your parents and make sure that they can feel your spirit and be their private Angel in heaven. I love this boy so much! His personality as a spunky hilarious toddler turned into a charismatic, and loving man.  If you met him once, you would fondly remember it for the rest of your life.  I feel so lucky to have had all those times with him when I used to babysit, play power rangers, go to McDonalds and Blockbuster.  The summer we all went to the Jersey Shore and Seaside.  He exuded warmth and always came to you with a big, meaningful hug that made you feel the love.    I have that in my heart forever.
Camille and Joey you raised beautiful, kind and admirable people.  The world thanks you. I thank you for letting me in to be a part of their lives.  

Louie, I can’t describe the pain it brings me to lose you. You were my best friend, my person, my forever love. The way you treated people was like no other. Your big heart, kind but silly soul, lit up our worlds. You never once failed to make my heart the warmest, make my smile the biggest and make my stomach fill itself with butterflies, far or near. I know so many people felt the same. The last two days were a true testament to that. You made an imprint on so many people. The love and support that poured out of us all was truly beautiful. I will be forever grateful that I was deserving enough to have had the relationship we did. Thank you for giving me so much to hold on to. I promise to never let these memories fade. Your family is my family. I will forever love you and forever miss you. 

Ohhh Lou!!!!! Growing up around the corner from you was an absolute blessing ! Your ball of energy was wild and weird and silly just like myself ;) I saw you a little while ago & we said a few meaningful statements to one another ...  although I have not hung out with you in a long time , I will NEVER forget your contagious energy that struck through so many of us. Those special words mean so much to me. I went to a meeting today. Finally. You got me there that’s for sure.    Watch over us Lou. I have no doubt you are right this very second . We love you!!

Lou was a great friend, I’m happy I was able to spend this summer with him. We spoke a lot about our goals,  past and future. Many laughs and many tears but it was all worth it. Won’t forget when I met Lou’s mother, I was yacking over her toilet and she said to me “welcome to my house, where you should never be ashamed of having a good time the night before”. Then Lou asked if I wanted breakfast. He made me feel welcome as well as his family. Forever loved . You’ll be missed my dear friend ♥️♥️

Louis was always a light of hope & happiness whenever he entered the room. God has taken back another one of our angels. He will be truly missed & we will wait patiently until we reunite. God Bless Louis & his family. 

Lou was an awesome dude. He graduated 2 years after me but for the past few years I had been tattooing him. My favorite memory of him was tattooing a skull on his wrist that he trusted me to do with almost zero experience. I finish the tattoo, we get up, and he turns from the doorway of the room and says ‘screw it, I want a mustache on my finger!’ I made him pose with his freshly tattooed mustache. He was full of energy and radiated positivity at all times. Whenever I would ask if he was okay he would always say yeah I’m good but more importantly how are you? He was a selfless, wonderful man to have gotten to know better over the last couple of years. He will be so missed. I send my deepest condolences to the family. May his light shine through and may his life be celebrated  all of the rest of your lives.

One memory i always remember that makes me laugh when we were prob 12-13 hanging out at my house with Syd and allison most likely and you were petrified of clowns lol and my father had a very graphic scary clown mask that every time you came by i just had to chase you around my house with 🤣♥️ But only with the most abundant amount of love .. i can hear you now going “kimm kimm stop, dont!”  freaking out 😆❤️😔 i love and miss you lou .. you meant so much to so many people.. you touched all of our hearts and you will most definitely never be forgotten #louforever xoxo Love you handsome

Twelve years ago Louis was visiting Florida.  I took him to the Keys for a memorable weekend.  I love my goofy nephew.

I’ve had this picture for years... I walked into the house to the boys as they were having a “play date” ... I made them stop playing video games and take the picture❤️... 
This has always  be one of my  favs.
 He has been apart of the family for years and will ALWAYS  be part of the family 

You always made me feel like one of the boys, and you always cared so genuinely about every little accomplishment in my life. Such a genuine, loving, outgoing human being. You, Matt, Scott, Pat and Justin are truly the best group of friends I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will miss you every day, for the rest of my life. I love you pal.

We love you and miss you so much. Our family will never be the same. But I know you will be living on in each and every one of us. You were by far the silliest nephew I have.  There are countless stories attesting to that. That was you!!  Love you, my Lou 💔. Keep us strong 😘

Lou Lou taught me so much over the years from true genuine love to never caring what people think as long as I’m enjoying myself. He was my other half of silly. It was in my future to marry this man and to give him the love he has always deserved. He was the most loving charismatic man i have ever known. I love you guys all so much and we will cherish him forever. He is safe, his energy and love will live through us until eternity 💕

Louie was always there with his sweet smile every time I visited. He will always be remembered fondly. Joey and Camille you should be so proud of the wonderful son you raised. Forever loved.

We had the blessing to meet and speak with Louis on several occasions while dining at Angelina's and he was a delight of a young man. A charming, full of life, vibrate young man. Louie was a Star with a capital S. He  made you feel good and happy, I told him I thought he should be a movie star because he had it all. Good looks ,sparkling personality and  kindness. This great shining light will  always be in my heart ❤️.

 I only met Louie a few times.   The last time I saw him was at his grandmother Josephine’s 80th birthday.  The first thing I noticed was his smile and of course, his good looks.  More importantly, I saw how tender he was with his grandmother and warm, funny and genuine with everyone around him.   I’m sure Josie was waiting with open arms to welcome the grandson she adored.  May that be of some comfort to the family during this heartbreaking time.  Our thoughts are with all those Louie left behind.  May he rest in peace.
