Marcella Peterson

Marcella was born on August 11, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John A. Dougherty and the late Anne C. Masones. She grew up in a loving family alongside her siblings.

Marcella married the love of her life, Byron "Sonny" Stillman, and together they shared a bond that lasted a lifetime. She was the devoted mother of Peter Peterson and the stepmother of Carolyn Stillman Gillespie (Chris), Georgette Herrmann (Michael), and the late Cheryl Weaver, the late Kristine Van Noord, and Karen Degiovine.

Caring sister of Richard Doughtery, the late Robert Doughtery, the late Lorraine Vesley, the late Roberta Mann, and the late Delores Ladore.

She was the adored grandmother of Meghan, Taylor, Isaiah, Christian, Alyssa, Jordon, John Michael, Kristen, Michael, Kimberly, Nicole, Francesca, Timothy, James, Elizabeth, Stephanie, and Joey.

Dear aunt of Heather Bowen, Eric Vesley, Colleen Bolton, Cathleen Gonzalves, and Mitchell Mann.

Marcella was a woman of many talents and worked as a bookkeeper, tax advisor, and accountant throughout her career. She was respected for her expertise and dedication in her profession.

Outside of her career, Marcella was an active member of the Red Hat Club, where she formed lasting friendships and enjoyed social outings with her fellow members.

Above all else, Marcella will be remembered for the love and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a fun-loving aunt, and a remarkable grandmother. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Marcella leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. While she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
