

Survived by his wife Kamila McGrorty. Michael was a devoted and loving father survived by his treasured daughter, Luna, who was the very center of his world and the light of his life. He was the beloved son of Deborah (Joseph McCarthy) and the late Michael P. McGrorty. Michael was a cherished brother to Kelly McGrorty (Victor Romano) and a devoted uncle to Kaylie, whom he adored. Michael was also a loving nephew to Doreen and Thomas Luckett, Patricia and Walter Wozniak, Marilynn and Andy McGrorty, and Susan (late Christopher) McGrorty. He will be missed dearly by his cousins Shaun, Lauren, C.J., Alex, Sharon, Katie, T.J., and Matthew, all of whom shared many memories filled with laughter and love. Michael had a lifelong passion for sports. A talented football player at West Babylon High School, he earned the Zellner Award and All-County, achievements that reflected both his athletic ability and his dedication. He later gave back by volunteering with the W.B junior varsity football team, proud to support and mentor the next generation of athletes.

Michael will be remembered always for his generous heart, his deep love for his family, and the lasting impact he leaves behind in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation services will be held at Claude R. Boyd/Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702, on February 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 39 N. Carll Ave., Babylon, NY 11702, on February 13, 2026, at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at North Babylon Cemetery, Livingston Ave., Babylon, NY 11702.
