

Mortimer E. Klouda, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 94. He was a lifelong resident of Babylon, New York, and leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family.
Born on June 11, 1930, in the Bronx, New York, Mortimer was the son of Mortimer Cyril Klouda and Bertha Muller. He was the loving husband of the late Ann Klouda, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised a family that loved him deeply.
Mortimer is survived by his children Christopher, Thomas (Jacqueline), Stephen (Sheila), and Mark (Correen). He was a proud grandfather to Brandon, Nicholus, Brett, Mackenzie, Kraig, and Eric, and a cherished great-grandfather to Jonalin and Kerilin. He was also the dear brother of George, Richard, Raymond, James, Catherine, and Evelyn.
A skilled and dedicated union electrician for Local 25 in Hauppauge, New York, Mortimer worked tirelessly to provide for his family and take pride in his craftsmanship. Outside of work, Mortimer had a passion for sports, which he shared with those closest to him.
Mortimer’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering love, generosity, and zest for life. He was a true testament to the values of family, hard work, and dedication. He will be missed but never forgotten.
A visitation for Mortimer will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 1750 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. A burial will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, Wading River, NY 11792.
