Her joys included being with people and having any reason for celebration. She always remembered everyone’s birthday and made cards out of construction paper for all occasions.
She regarded most everyone as her friend. Prior to COVID she attended a medical model day program and referred to both staff and clients as friends. She thrived because the Program provided personalized support and socialization opportunities.
For the last 6 years, Patricia resided at the Evergreen Group Home. The staff helped her with anything she needed, and she enjoyed having people to talk to and the many activities over the years. She went to the Poconos two weeks ago and talked about having a wonderful time. Hours before she passed, the group took a ride to the beach and enjoyed ice cream, which was right down her alley. I am so appreciative for the care given to her.
Patricia had a good memory and frequently recited sayings that my mother mentioned, including use your head for something other than a hat rack. When we were in grade school, she told us that although our nationality was American, that we should remember that we were of Irish & Italian descent; the best part of us was Irish!
The highlights of her life were being with family and on the go. She loved Disney World and especially enjoyed dinner at Cinderella’s castle. She enjoyed the movies, Ducks games, plays and outdoor concerts.
I can vouch for twins having a special bond. I am happy to have made her life a little easier and treasure the memories. I believe that she is enjoying Heaven after being reunited with my parents, family & friends.
