Born with a natural warmth and gifts for organization, creativity, and care, Patricia spent her life lifting others up and bringing people together.
Patricia was married for 69 years to the love of her life, Louis Robert Klein, who predeceased her in 2015. Together they built a vibrant and loving family that became the center of Patricia’s world. She is survived by her children Russell W. Klein (Susan, deceased), Brett George Klein, and Jennifer Klein Siegel (Richard); and is preceded in death by Jeffrey Leigh Klein, Luanne Elisabeth Klein, and Garrett Taylor Klein.
She was a proud grandmother to Justin Russell Klein (Anne), Lauren Taylor Klein, Jamiee Leigh Klein (Dillon), Hannah Francine Siegel, and Charlotte Taylor Siegel; and a delighted great-grandmother to Makenzie Anne Klein, Aedan Russell Klein, Logan Mason Klein, and Savannah Grace Klein.
Patricia lived a life of dedication and service. She worked for the Babylon Public Schools as a secretary and transportation coordinator until her retirement and was also the owner of Positions Dance Studio in Babylon, NY. She shared her faith through years of teaching Sunday school and actively participated in the Babylon United Methodist Church, Sun Tree United Methodist Church, and Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Creative, energetic, and endlessly thoughtful, Patricia was known as the family and event organizer—every gathering became a celebration, complete with a theme, special details, and her signature hospitality. She delighted in family photography, scrapbooking, genealogy, beading, baking, and holiday crafts, preserving memories and traditions with a devoted heart.
Some of Patricia’s happiest memories were rooted in place: her beloved childhood second home in Lake Placid, NY, where she returned each summer and passed her love for the Adirondacks on to her children; and her magical summers living at Captree Island and Oak Island, NY. In recent years, her favorite pastime was simple and joyful—sitting outside in the sunshine, no matter the weather, soaking in the warmth of the day.
In 1979, Patricia was honored with the Babylon High School Trawler Yearbook Student Dedication, a reflection of the impact she had on young people and her school community.
Patricia’s life was filled with love, creativity, and devotion. Her legacy—rooted in family, faith, tradition, and joy—will continue to shine brightly through the generations she inspired.
