I will always remember Regina.  We knew each other since we were in second grade together at Phelps Lane School in North Babylon.  Years later, I would see Regina sometimes when she would come to meet Catherine and Shannon at school, dismissal time.  We always wished that I could have had her nieces in my Kindergarten class.

Regina was a wonderful, devoted and supportive friend, lighthearted and fun to be with.  I will always treasure my memories of Regina and keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I think back to the days of our evening crew.Regina,Frank,Sue, Tom, George, and myself.  A solid, somewhat crazy crew.  Regina was always the one to pick up the slack when we were under the gun. Always with good humor. She and Dooley were like a comedy team. A wonderful nurse, a dedicated daughter. Was glad to hear that some of the girls kept her in the loop and she had friends around her. This is Dr.Bruce Rosen. I was Chairman of Psychiatry at St Catherine of Siena Medical Center for all but the last several years. It was always a pleasure to be greeted by Regina whenever I entered the nursing station. She would greet me with “ hi honey” and I would return the greeting with “hi wimpy”.  We would both chuckle understanding that was my term of endearment for this loving understated and caring nurse

Regina Kennely, 70, of Kings Park, formerly of North Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on March 23, 2021. Beloved sister of Patricia Kennely-Morrison, Timothy Kennely, and Kevin Kennely. Adored aunt of Catherine, Shannon, Stephanie, Johnathan, and grand-aunt of Abigail. Regina was a registered nurse at Saint Catherine of Sienna Medical Center in Smithtown. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Saturday, March 27, 2021, 2-4:30pm &amp; 7-9:30pm. Religious service at the funeral home 8pm Saturday, March 27, 2021.
