Robert L. Braun

Robert L. Braun, 78, of Otego, New York, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. Born on December 16, 1946, in Elmont, New York, Robert was the son of the late Robert Braun and Catherine Johnson. He was a devoted husband to the late Joan Braun, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and family.

Robert was a proud and loving father to Dorene Commisso (Lou) and Christine Licastri (Chuck). He found great joy in his role as grandfather to Vinnie Commisso, Robert Commisso, and Vinny Licastri, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Professionally, Robert served as the head of maintenance for the West Hempstead School District, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and reliability.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, a hobby that connected him to nature and brought him peace. He was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.), where he gave back to the community with humility and compassion, helping countless others on their journeys to recovery.

He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
