Robert A Lodi, Jr., known to all as "Bob", 74, of West Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 44 years of Catherine Corrado-Lodi. Devoted father of Amanda M. Jasper, Victoria Lodi (Glen Lorieo), and Rebecca Santonastaso (Joseph Santonastaso). Adored grandfather of Louis Robert and Madison-Frances. Dear brother of Linda Farina, Elisa Piragnoli (Thomie), and Ron Lodi. Also survived by his cherished dog, Paolo. A Lifetime member of the NRA, Bob was also an active member in The Lions of North Babylon. A retired aircraft mechanic for American Airlines, Bob had countless hobbies, which included: bee-keeping, running, reading, skeet-shooting, gardening, hunting, both big game and water-fowl, knife-making, candle-making, karate, and being the family's personal mechanic. Passionate about history and trivia, Bob loved watching Jeopardy, applying his "million dollars worth of useless information," as he loved to say, to beat sharing the answers before the contestants. Bob was a hard-working family man who provided for his family and was loved by countless people. A "man's man," Bob was always involved in one of his many hobbies, repairing something with his bottomless well of knowledge, but always having time to help and of his family and friends. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 2:00 pm-4:30 pm & 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Remembrances and messages of condolence can be left for the family on our website: www.boyd-spencer.com.
