Vivian Denise Howard

Vivian Denise Howard (nee Palmer), 76, of West Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, June 13, 2025. Beloved life partner of John Flandina. Devoted mother of Seth Benjamin Schoen. Loving mother-in-law of Annette Theresa Schoen. Adored grandmother of Ashley Lynn Wansor-Schoen and Emily Rose Schoen. Cherished sister of Lauren Atchinson and her husband, Spike. Also survived by Jennifer Flandina, the daughter of Vivian's life partner, as well as Vivian's nieces and nephews, Bethany & Dhiraj Makhijani, Timothy Atchison, and Emily Atchison. Vivian worked at J.C. Penny's in Bay Shore, New York, for 35 years before her retirement. In her retirement years, Vivian enjoyed staying active with gardening, taking long walks, antique shopping, attending car shows, and assisting the Kiwanis Club. Vivian will be most remembered for her boundless generosity, her love for animals, always being available to listen to others, and the gifts and cards she shared to make everyone's day better. In addition to this, Vivian's innate talent for helping flowers and plants to flourish will continue to inspire others in their gardens. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W.
