

Clyde Allen "Pat" Patterson 1924 - 2012 Clyde Allen "Pat" Patterson, longtime resident of Bakersfield, CA retired to Grover Beach in 1987. He passed away peacefully in his home on April 6, 2012. Pat was born in Dill City, Oklahoma and moved to Roswell, New Mexico until the age of 15. He then moved to Bakersfield where he met and married his love Nadine Kizziar in 1944. They were married 67 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys and son, Gary. He is survived by his wife, Nadine; children, Stanly, Lisa, Mark, Kevin and Lori; 7 grandchildren, Byron, Nick, RJ, Ashley, Clementina, Faith and Emily; one great grandchild, Ellott James; his sister, Beverly; and sister-in-law, Viola Price. At age 15 he served two years in the California Conservation Corps, then joined the United States Marine Corps serving in the battle of Iwo Jima where he received two Purple Hearts for wounds received in action. He worked hard as a general contractor and was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed greatly. Dad was one of a kind and lived life to the fullest and regretted little. Rest in paradise, we love you. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mish Funeral Home; with a graveside service at Greenlawn (River Blvd.) at 12:00 p.m. Published in Bakersfield Californian on April 10, 2012
