Frances Estelle Rice

February 6, 1932 - September 12, 2011

Passed away in Bakersfield, CA. Fran was born in Moore Haven, Florida. She graduated from East Bakersfield High School in 1950. After high school she joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean war. After discharge, she had a professional career as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Henry S. Rice, brother; John Vorhees (Dorothy), daughter; Rhonda Blankenship (Greg), extended family, Timothy Rice (Laura), Michael Rice and LeAnn Yates. Grandchildren; Haleigh Boss (Christopher), Danielle Sosa (Daniel), Garrett Rice (Alicia), Brenna Mathis, Paige Mathis, Caitlin Mathis and Brent Rice. Great Grandchild; Genevieve Marie. Also, her beloved dogs; Tisha, Kiyah and Twiggy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, September 19th, 2011 at 1:15pm. At Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203. There will be a gathering to follow at 1205 White Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93307.
