God gave all of us a gift when Pauline Virginia Higgins was born on March 17th 1938 in Wewoka Oklahoma to Alice and Virgil Higgins. Pauline became the most beautiful lady, Marrying young to Herlen Tackett for 34 years. Pauline's outlook on life was wonderful. Working Hard at being the perfect wife and the best mom any of us could ask for. Mom was very Prompt at going anywhere and doing anything, which is just opposite of Pauline's first Born, Ray Tackett the procrastinator. Pauline was a great home financial book keeper, Making sure her bills were paid even before food was bought, which is just opposite of her second child, Paula the Spender. Pauline done so well at rasing her two kids she became a foster parent to a couple boys Timmy and Scotty. Pauline was always cleaning something, having the most cleanest home you'll ever walk into. Which is just opposite of her Third Child, Lisa. Pauline had so much love for her Children. Giving the best advice, always helping out in anyway she could. She has been so proud of all her kids, We all have Pauline to Thank for her Children doing so well in their adult lives. Pauline Met and Married Kenny and they lived together in Lake Isabella even though Pauline always regarded Bakersfield as her home. Very happy lady when she was able to move back to Bakersfield.
Pauline worked hard outside her home working many various jobs. Picking Cotton as a child til her fingers bleed. Walking as a security Guard til her back ached. Building storage tanks as a construction fire watch Lady right through the freezing rain or extreme Heat. Pauline even worked for free as a "Pink Lady" for the Kern Valley Hospital Thrift Store in Lake Isabella. This was her most enjoyed job of them all. Pauline disliked politicians but enjoyed working as a voting booth Election Clerk.
Though Pauline had days filled with household duties, she always made time to go out and enjoy life. Bowling was fun for her in her younger years. Shopping was always on the list but being the Penny Pincher she was known for.. No Thrift store went unturned. Morrow Bay was her most Favorite place to Visit. She loved country music. She sang a bit with Merle Haggard way back but turned down a recording for a duet together. Conway Twitty was her favorite singer, we can just see them now... Singing "Hello Darlin" together
Pauline made it a duty to go visit her siblings. Family Gatherings was always looked forward too with Lucille and Patsy, until they Gathered in Heaven with our Lord. Margie procrastinated when in Labor and Pauline stepped in and helped deliver Margie's baby boy Raymond. Pauline Enjoyed spending time with Margie and Virgil Jr playing cards and just talking the evenings away. Pauline was their mother hen, even on her last days on earth. She loved her family more than anyone knows.
As her life slowed down a bit her pets made her days. She loved them as if they were her Children. She loved Watching Sparrows and Doves... their babies growing up and fly for the first time. She enjoyed watching Tv. Two and a half Men was her utmost favorite show ever. Even when the reruns were reruns.
Pauline was one of the most strongest persons you'd ever meet. Fighting Cancers from 27 years old. Fighting the battles and winning until our Lord God said enough is enough and took her out of the war and gave her peace in Heaven.
In Heaven Pauline Joined her Grandparents; The Higgins and The Myers. Her Parents; Alice and Virgil Lee Higgins, Siblings; Lucille and Patsy. Her First love: Herlen. A grandchild David. Aunts and Uncles. Her Nephews Michael and Walker. Great Nephews, Randy and LeeDon. Son in Law, Robin. Step son Shane. She leaves behind sooo many loved ones. 3 Children: Ray, Paula and Lisa. 2 step Children Amber and Shawn. 14 Grand Children: Sam, Ray, Jacob, Ashley, Miranda, Annie, Joe, Angela, Jason, Deidra, Sami, Troy, Jordie, and Kristen, along with 5 Great Grandkids.
