Robert Charles Deabenderfer, 83, passed away peacefully on November 8,2011 at Bakersfield Heart Hospital with family members at his side. He was born to Charles Benjamin Deabenderfer and Anna Brozovich

Deabenderfer on October 23, 1928 in Olympia, Washington. Robert led a life rich in experiences and travel. He was a devout Catholic and family man.

His professional career as a judge included sitting on the bench for Superior, Municipal and Justice Courts, as well as the Circuit Courts in California. Robert was a talented musician and was also an Old Time Fiddler for many years. He came from a long line of craftsmen and was a skilled carpenter in his spare time. He was also a rancher in Oakdale, California.

He married his high school sweetheart, Joan Catherine Anctil, on October 2, 1948 at St. John's Church in EI Cerrito. They recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary in October.

To this union, they were blessed with 6 children: Susan DeSilva Uoseph), Marianne Williams (Dennis), Samuel Deabenderfer, Ronald Deabenderfer (Ruth), David Deabenderfer (deceased), and Richard Deabenderfer (Irma). He was also blessed With 9 grandchildren: Cynthia, Elizabeth and Marianne DeSilva, Janet Starcher (Matthew), Anthony Williams (Carrie), Robert Deabenderfer II, Michael, c.J. and Sophia Deabenderfer, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. Judge . Deabenderfer is also survived by a brother, Michael of Oakdale, California and a sister, Rosemary Lapham of Santa Rosa, California.

A rosary will be said Sunday, November 13th, at 6:00pm at Christ the King Church on Norris Road. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14th, at 1O:30am at Christ the King Church, followed on Tuesday, November 15th, with interment in Oakdale, California.
