Robert Lynn Lyerla

Robert Lynn Lyerla, born April 2, 1955, passed away at his home in Bakersfield, CA on July 9th due to a sudden illness. Robert grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and Pittsburg, KS, moving to southern California 35 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, son, Westley Smith, step-daughters Stacy Cooley and Shawna Price, all of California as well as his sister Linda S. Schoenfield and husband Ron of Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Sue Ramsey and father Robert E. Lyerla.

Following cremation and services in Bakersfield he will be buried beside his father at a private service in Pittsburg, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Mish Funeral Home in Bakersfield and Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg. Condolences may be sent to mishfuneralhome.com.
