To the family of Charles Richards we are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Richards. He was a long term resident of Twin Ridge Apartments. We appreciated his kind nature and loyalty to our community. We are sure he will be missed by many.

I am so sorry for your loss of Roger, I been praying for him and your family but God needed him in heaven. To be absent from body is to be with the Lord. I pray that the Lord will comfort you in your hours of need and let sweet memories of Roger fall upon your heart and give you a smile along with your tears. May you be encouraged every day by God's presence in your life; to see you through this difficult time in your life. 
When we all get to heaven, you will see your Roger again and remember he is no more pain.

Gail Ann and I were very surprised to hear of Roger's passing. But many times our loss is Heaven's gain and we know for sure that is the situation with Roger. What a wonderful time he is having now with his Heavenly Father! No longer in pain or suffering he's singing at  the top of his lungs in praise and glory to His Saviour Jesus Christ! If you have great pain over his leaving then you must have enjoyed great love together because those go hand in hand. God gave us that capacity to love and He alone can comfort you in this time of pain. Look to Him for He has all of our answers.May God bless and keep your entire family. My friendship with Roger was so rewarding. As I tearfully look back over the years, growing up only a rocks throw from each other, our youth and activities were often intertwined. 
We rode our bikes to Windy Valley just to get ice cream, to Lake Roland to fish, and played curb ball in the alley with our childhood buddies. I recall Roger and I could never get that raft we built to float down Jones Falls, probably a good thing. It always came apart when we got onboard with all our stuff. Many an evening was spent playing pool in my basement. I had a small pool table. My basement became a gathering place for Roger, I, and our buddies to discuss or argue over the latest Oriole or Colts game. 
At times we were typical mischievous boys. His mom would bake the best rhubarb pies. Roger and I got caught more than once picking and eating stalks of rhubarb she grew in the backyard.  I can still taste those ruby red stalks right now. 
As we aged, our paths grew farther apart. Our yearly Christmas cards and letters to each other maintained that lifelong bond we shared.

I've known you my entire life.  So hard to believe you are gone.  My dad will for sure miss his best friend.  One day you all will be playing cards together again.  Rest easy.
