

Doris Maame Ama Fenyiwa Eashun, born in Ghana in 1966, passed away on October 14, 2024. She was a remarkable woman whose life was marked by achievement, passion, and a deep commitment to her community.
From a young age, Doris demonstrated exceptional academic abilities and a talent for sports. She excelled in volleyball and various track and field events, showcasing the determination and spirit that would define her life. She earned her graduate degree in Social Sciences from the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Doris served her country through her work with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation from 1997 to 2001, where she made significant contributions to the media landscape. Later, she found her calling in education as a dedicated and fair teacher at St. Theresa's Primary School, inspiring countless young minds with her passion for learning.
In addition to her teaching, Doris was an accomplished writer, contributing to "The Mirror," a prominent Ghanaian newspaper. After relocating to Baltimore, Maryland, she continued to share her voice and stories, publishing several impactful books, including "A Journey of Hope," "The Life We Live," and "The Great Battle Between Mouth and Tongue." Her work resonated with many, reflecting her insights and experiences.
Doris will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her students, and her unwavering belief in the power of education and communication. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiration and love that will continue to touch lives.
She is the devoted mother of Nhyira Opoku, Ayeyi Opoku, Aseda Opoku; daughter of Mrs. Ruby Ankrah Ngissah and Mr. Peter Eshun; sister of Dr. Reuben Ngissah, Barbara Ngissah, Emmanuel Ngissah, Kwame Baah Eshun, Nana Esi Botwewa Eshun, Petra Nana Esi Nyarkoa Eshun.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Burgee Henss Seitz Funeral Home, Inc., 3631 Falls Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21211 on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a memorial service to honor her life beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
