Thank you for all your kind words about my precious mother-in-law.  She is dearly missed.  It is very comforting to know so many thought so highly of her.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers in remembering my sweet mother-in-law.

Dear Jay and Marlies,

We will dearly miss your sweet mother.  She was always so friendly and welcoming to us.  From the moment we moved onto Ridge Road, she made us feel right at home.  We first met when I went running into her yard chasing after one of our escaped dogs.  Dorothy came right out and, instead of asking what this stranger was doing running around in her backyard, she waved and said hi.  

On even the most stressful days, I could come home and smile when I saw Dorothy wave hello from across the street.  We would stop and talk some days and she never failed to ask me about my ailing mother or my hard-working husband.  She always looked great, hair, makeup, dress--pure class.  

You couldn't have asked for a better neighbor or friend.  Dorothy made a special impression on my middle daughter, who would go visit every once in a while.  She was like my daughter's surrogate grandmother.

We will surely miss her.

I met Miss Dorothy through my sister, Shirlee.  I only saw her few times, but in those few times, I could tell she was a special person and lots of fun to be around.  Miss Dorothy, you will be greatly missed here on Earth, but you are now with the love of your life, Mr. Ray, which I know makes the both of you very happy.
