On Wednesday October 1, Marilyn "Meb" Benner passed peacefully in Baltimore, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul Edward Benner. She leaves behind three loving step daughters Barbara Benner, Patti Benner (David Kough), Beth Benner, nephew Don Benner and grandson Jeff Antsen. Marilyn ("Meb") also leaves behind sister Harriet McCrickert (John) and nieces Jennifer Currao (Charles) and great nephew Cooper Currao and Melanie Thick (Peter) and great niece Callie Thick. Meb's extended love of family included Viki Morris and Laura Kimmins and four almost grandchildren Ali Benner, Rebecca Maguire, Megan Kimmins and Andrew Kimmins. Meb served as a primary school teacher for over 30 years at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church School where she frequently taught two generations of families.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 5th from 2-6 pm at Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home, 3631 Falls Road Baltimore, Maryland. A short service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 6th at 10 am, with a graveside service to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
