It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Darrell A. Girard of Barrhead, AB on August 8, 2013 at the age of 54 years. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Anne, of 24 years, their 4 children; Greg (Kim) Girard of Rocky Mountain House, Kristi Girard of Penhold, Miranda Girard (Lance Harris) of Edmonton, and Matthew Girard, 4 grandchildren; Hunter, Cadence, Emma and Liam, his mother Alvina Girard, 5 sisters; Diane (Rick) Craig, Debbie Webb (David Woods), Valerie Girard (Bill Durnin), Connie (Jeffrey) Thomson, and Shelley (Jay) Davie, Father and Mother-in-law, Robert and Gertrude Lee, two brothers-in-law, Tim (Jill) Lee and Jeff (Annette) Lee as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Darrell was predeceased by his father Albert Girard. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Barrhead United Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris White officiating. Memorial Donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society.
