Johan Fehr

On March 4, 2026, Johan Fehr of Barrhead, Alberta peacefully entered the presence of God at the age of 80 in the comfort of his wife, Katharina and some of his family by his side at Barrhead Hospital.

He was born in Mexico on August 28, 1945 to the late Isaac & Elizabeth Fehr Schellenberg. He was the 9th child of 13. Katharina (Johan Fr.), Abram (Helena K.), Heinrich (Anna Q.), Isaak (Katharina Fr., Katharina W.), Maria (Peter W.), Elizabeth (Gerhard K.), Greta, Peter (Helena H., Susanna R.), Johan (Katharina D.), Aganetha (Peter Fr., Gerhard R.), David (Gertrude D.), Judith (Johan D.), Margaretha (Ben D.).

He grew up in Mexico and moved to Belize with his parents & siblings in 1967. On August 18, 1968 he entered into marriage with his his best friend, Katharina Dyck in Blue Creek Belize. They were married 57 and a half years. God Blessed them with 4 children, Isaac (Mary Wall), Jacob (Maria Enns), Johnny, Tina (Abe Goertzen). 7 Grandchildren, Nathan, Noah (fiance, Mika Woodford ), Ernie (Oniesha Ledoux), Amanda (David Anderson), Josiah, Naomi, Diane (Abe Thiessen), 7 great grandchildren Carson, Lukas, Connor, Abigail, Rachael, Lance & Lilian.

Johan is predeceased by his parents, Isaac & Elizabeth Fehr, and brothers, Abram, Heinrich, Isaac. sisters, Maria, Elizabeth, Elizabeth's twin Greta, & Margaretha. Infant son, Johnny, and grandson, Nathan.

Johan & Katharina moved to Mexico in 1983, in 1987 they moved to Aylmer, Ontario, in 2021 they moved to Barrhead, Alberta.

Farming was his hobby and his way of making a living until he retired. Some of his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends & family.
