Wayne Steven Wahl

Wayne Stephen Wahl, age 75, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the Mayerthorpe Hospital. Wayne was born and raised in Barrhead, Alberta. After earning his Master Electrician certification, he returned to Barrhead to establish Wahl Electric Co. He later moved to the farm across from his parents, where he spent the next 40 years building a life rooted in family and community. Wayne will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Teddy; his daughter, Kristin; and his grandchildren, Maverick, Pierce, and Finnley. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Sharon Hurst, and brother-in-law, Robert Hurst, along with their children—Courtney (Marie), Tegan, and Justin. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Sue Wahl.

Wayne lived life to the fullest and embraced every adventure that came his way. He was a true thrill-seeker, spending summers at Thunder Lake slalom skiing, catamaran sailing or kite flying behind the boat and winters skiing and sledding in the mountains. He treasured time spent camping, fishing, and traveling with friends and family, including many trips to warmer tropical destinations. Known for his bright smile and infectious laugh, Wayne loved nothing more than visiting with others and sharing stories.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held in the spring of 2026.
