Just an all round Good Guy, friend & working pardner.




I am proud to share the story of the photograph on this memorial.  One of the things that Al enjoyed doing before he was injured was fishing out of his Jon boat.  I heard many stories of fishing with his friends in the lakes around Memphis.  After his injury, he and Sherry were visiting Beth, Jonathan, and myself in Abilene Texas.   The conversation got around to fishing and I could sense that Al would like to give it a try.  We could not use a boat or walk in a place that was too uneven due to Al's injury but I knew of a spot on Lake Fort Phantom where we could fish from the bank without too much difficulty.  The fishing conditions weren't very good but I could tell that he was enjoying very much just casting, reeling, and anticipating.  Finally, after changing lures a couple of times, a bass hit a little spinner bait and Al reeled it in.   When I grabbed the fish and picked it up, I yelled "THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!"  Al responded with his own whoop of approval.   

I will miss Al tremendously and I will cherish this memory and many others like it.

I remember moving into Sears dorm at Harding University and Mr. Nohsey laughing at all the stuff Beth and I brought in our car/truck/van. It all fit into our little room. He looked around, shook his head, and said, "I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself."

Mr. Nohsey was such a patient, kind, and funny man. I'm honored to have known him and the whole Nohsey family. Praying for peace for you all.
