Albert Russell Snyder, age 86, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home in McKinney, TX. He was born on April 17, 1933 in Mansfield, OH to the late Anna Alice and Leland Paul Snyder. On March 21, 1952, he married Margaret Elaine Hilton of Memphis, TN who passed away in 1993.
He is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Janet & Allen Nichols of Rowlett, TX and Patty & Frank Pattee of Garland, TX, along with eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, numerous family members and friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Snyder and sister, Jane Human.
He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean conflict; retired from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department in 1998 after 28 years of service; was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Bartlett, TN; and a member of the Scottish Rite.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 9am to 10am with a graveside service to follow at 10am at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
