Alice Friebel

Born Alice Williams in Lucy, Tennessee to Annie Ruth Goldsby Williams and Elbridge S. Williams, she attended Lucy Elementary School and Millington High School. Married to James Richard Loft (deceased), they raised three children; Mark (Anne), Lisa (Barry, deceased) and Bruce (Penni). Soon to follow were six grandchildren: Mandy Davidson (Brian), Alex Loft (Alexandria), Katie Thayer (Manning), Emily Stoval (Gil), Matt Loft (Kendall) and Lacey Loft. She also leaves five great-grandsons, Nicholas Davidson, Oliver and Owen Loft, and James and Henry Thayer.

Alice was the oldest of four children and leaves her brother, Ebby Williams (Gloria), sisters Sylvia Green (Calvin, deceased) and Donna Holley (Buddy). Alice married Robert Friebel (deceased) in 1991.

Alice enjoyed careers with Commercial Credit, Sears and DuPont where she retired as a Benefits Administrator in the Human Resources Department.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2nd 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Bartlett Room of Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery, 6839 Big Creek Church Road in Millington, Tennessee at 3:00 pm.
