Anita Louise Maxey, 74, of Oakland, TN passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Greenfield Assisted Living-Memphis. She was a homemaker, very involved with many charitable organizations, was a very giving person and loved helping anyone in need always putting others needs ahead of her own. Mrs. Maxey loved her family especially her grandkids and great grand babies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton “Toby” Monroe Maxey; and is survived by her son, David Maxey, Sr. (Wendi); daughter, Tracy Waggener (Scott); sister, Prissy Rudkin; brother, James Carothers, Jr; grandchildren, David, Jr, Ashlee, Brittany, Dylan and Bethany; great grandchildren, Caden, Canon, George, Embree Rose, Cheyenne and Laken. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee.
