Arthur W. Leindecker, age 81 passed peacefully on November 14, 2012 at Methodist North Hospital. He was a Korean War veteran. Art retired as a Plant Manager with Del Monte Foods in 1988. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Ascension. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and John Leindecker and his siblings, Delores Klinefelter and Ron Leindecker, also his grandson Kyle DeGroff. He leaves his loving wife of 53 years Carol Leindecker and four daughters Pam (Noel) Goldsmith, Debbie (Drew) Perkins, Becky DeGroff, and Barbara (Dale) Batts. Art loved his seven grandchildren with all his heart, Justin and Rachel DeGroff, Kaleb and Kelsey Batts, Zach Goldsmith and Matt and Tori Perkins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7pm on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd and a mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Monday, November 19, at Catholic Church of the Ascension with interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The West Clinic or Church of the Ascension.
