Benny Van Sullivan

Sullivan was born in Bruce, MS on January 22, 1940 to John & Eunice Sullivan. He was a conductor on the railroad for over 40 years before retiring in 2008.

Benny was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Memphis Grizzlies and University of Memphis. Many of his fondest memories include spring training trips and attending games with his family.

He enjoyed 48 years of marriage with his wife, Jessie, who survives him. He also leaves behind three sons: Marty (Ashley), Timmy (Kerry), Faron, 4 grandchildren: Ty (Amanda) Sullivan, Trent (Sarah) Sullivan, Benton Sullivan, Jones Sullivan, 3 great grandchildren: Reagan, Cash and Stone Sullivan, and 2 brothers: Joel and Tony Sullivan.

A visitation for Benny will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. A committal service will occur Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133.
